Simply put, a MERE POSTING is...
A listing by a private Seller, created and posted by a Licensed REALTOR®, advertised on REALTOR.ca, through the local Board’s MLS® System for a set period of time. The private Seller (also referred to as “For Sale by Owner” or FSBO) purchases the services of a MERE POSTING listing from a REALTOR® at an established flat fee, when signing the listing contract. There are no additional fees paid to the Listing Brokerage or Listing Agent at time of sale. The Seller may wish to offer the Buyer’s Brokerage a commission to encourage showings by REALTORS®.  The private Seller may also sell directly to a private Buyer. In that case there would be no additional commission paid.
